Heartache explores the heart as both a physical organ and a symbol of love, vulnerability and emotional attachment.
The anatomical heart is suspended against a dark background, surrounded by a fractured red glow. The glossy resin surface creates a wet, almost visceral quality, while the integrated light gives the heart an almost living presence.
The contrast between darkness, light and the raw anatomy reflects the tension between intimacy and pain, something beautiful, fragile and slightly unsettling.
